Linking Eco-Innovation and Circular Economy—A Conceptual Approach

The socio-economic transformations taking place nowadays bring about the necessity to transform currently dominating linear paradigm of economic growth. basis for such a transformation is, first all, implementation sustainable systems production and consumption, so that they evolve into companies implementing assumptions closed-circle economy. Although concept an economy has been widely accepted by both researchers practitioners, there is still lack thorough recognition determinants its application at organizational level. Attempting fill this research gap, paper addresses conceptual link between companies’ eco-innovation activities CE paradigm. It attempts assess importance eco-innovation, technological nontechnological in nature, as closed-loop prospects are described, then concepts types organized, finally role catalyst explained. article also indicates most important management practices, understood strategic actions necessary process generating innovations leading realization idea reverse material flows. As consequence discussion, proposition suggested herein develop existing circular business models account eco-innovative enterprises. attempt start discussion on category open eco-innovations popularize practice access eco-innovations.
